An avid fan of the horror genre of the 70s and 80's, Eric has brought to the table, a multitude of knowledge to help make Clown the way we want it.
Eric is a skilled special effects make-up artist, who has gained most of his experience on prior films produced by NewGil. He also has had a hand in editing, Directing, Cinematography and writing.
Currently he serves as a senior chairman for NewGil Pictures and is the head of production for HighRoad Entertainment (The commercial production entity and distributor for NewGil films). His film influences are an amazing asset to Clown and all other NewGil Pictures films.
Robert Newman (Writer and Director) has been thirsting to unleash a film that leaves the audience wide-eyed and white-knuckled. Clown is his chance. Being a self-taught filmmaker has given Robert the opportunity to use his own set of guidlines to bring a film to fruition.
A passion that started when Robert was just starting junior high, over the years he has honed his skills, working on many short films, as a catch-all, including, directing, producing, editing, cinematography, scoring, and writing films. His first feature length documentary was released last year, receiving national distribution as well as critical acclaim for the use of unorthodox filmmaking methods, which helped make the film a success on a modest budget and gave the film more buzz.
Robert wrote a first draft of the Clown screenplay in Early 2004, which was shelved while looking for investors. Since then, like any script, it has gone through many changes and revisions. The final product is what will hopefully make Clown a success.
Jessica Smith (Producer and Cinematographer) is new to the NewGil HighRoad Production team. As a experienced photographer, Jessica's unique photography skills fit right in to the image we have for Clown. A recent High School graduate, Jess has shown her aptitude through various photo sessions, print-ads, and the start of her own successful photography business.
A native of Washington State, Jessica has captured many types of media, and as a devoted fan of the horror genre, she has found her niche not only as a producer, but a person partially in charge of the overall look of Clown.
For April Powers (Producer and Script Supervisor) the business of film is nothing new. For the past four years April has been immersed in film theory as a chairperson for NewGil Pictures. As an avid horror fan, she has worked on several films, which include The Graveyard Shift and Portraits of the Paranormal. Her multi-talents include graphic design, film editing, and cinematography. A lot of April's work is also influenced by the great filmmakers of the 70's and 80's.
In the last four years, April has produced several short films and also co-produced last years The Graveyard Shift. Currently April has other film projects in the works for NewGil Pictures, besides Clown.
